Is there a difference between Religious and Spiritual Practice?

Is there a difference between religious and spiritual practice?

I think most would say yes.

A quick Google search informs me that religious practices are organised and often communal and the result of very specific and normalised beliefs.

So organised, specific and mostly communal - makes sense but my understanding is different.

For me, it’s about energy, and one way to understand this difference is through exploring masculine and feminine energy.

The masculine is the container that gives form and shape to the feminine.

In essence, the masculine is form and structure. It is physical and has its own shape. It can be felt and touched and in this way, it is very much grounded in this physical plane, understanding reality through an earth-bound lens. It is solid and dependable. It can create a sense of safety and belonging.
